SecureJet Enterprise Print-PS

Secure Pull Printing for HP Printers and MFPs

What if your employees could release their print jobs on any HP printer or Multi-Function Printer (MFP) in the organization—when and where they want—just by authenticating? This would increase productivity, reduce costs and waste, improve employee mobility and flexibility... The benefits would be immeasurable.

This is now possible through the combination of SecureJet’s Print-PS server software and the Print-SMP modules installed on HP LaserJet printers and MFPs.

Securely Retained Print Jobs

  • Retain print jobs on the print server until the user authenticates on a printer or MFP and releases the print jobs, thus increasing document confidentiality and reducing paper and ink waste.

Unclaimed Print Jobs Self-Delete

  • Configure print jobs to automatically delete after a set time, thus cleaning print queues and preventing them from blocking up.

Roaming Pull Printing

  • Release print jobs from any printer/MFP equipped with SecureJet Print-SMP or a SecureJet Box—even printers/MFPs on the other side of the world.
  • Multiple SecureJet Print-PS servers can be running on the same Intranet to serve tens of thousands of users. SecureJet Print-SMP can access those servers in two ways:
    • Up to 5 Print-PS servers IP address can be defined on each SecureJet Print-SMP configuration. SecureJet Print-SMP will contact those servers looking for your jobs. This is a solution very simple to setup. On the other hand it requires to communicate with each of those servers, therefore we don't recommend it for WAN usage (the next method should then be preferred).
    • Up to 10,000 Print-PS servers can be setup on the Intranet for roaming printing, and they share a connection to a Microsoft SQL Server or MSDE database. On a MFP or printer, SecureJet Print-SMP is configured to access one Print-PS server. That PS Server will then manage automatically the retrieval of all jobs information from all Print-PS server on the Intranet, as well as deletion and release process.

Data Encryption Included

  • Encrypt print jobs from the print server to the printer/MFP (and from the client PC to the print server when combined with Print-SMP encryption), thus protecting confidential data en route to the printer/MFP.

Enhanced Authentication Functionality

  • Authenticate users using LDAP and Active Directory servers. SecureJet Print-PS provides the capability of performing live ID validation against LDAP and Active Directory servers for SecureJet Authentication modules.

Print Job Quotas and Expiration

  • Set limits for the maximum stored print job size and maximum storage time.

One Print Queue for All Printers

  • Simplify print queue management—only one printer queue is necessary on every PC.
